Besides, it's not like I wanted this to happen Phoebe. Do you think I wanted to become an Elder and cause Piper this much pain?" he said as it felt like his heart was breaking a little bit. Yes, it pained him when he talked about what happened last time. About leaving Piper and his family.
He tuned to Paige. "Yes, I remember. But there is nothing I can do about it. The only thing I could do, I did. I told them that I would not leave Piper and my family, and if they wanted me, they would have to fight me for it. You guys know me better than anyone knows me. Yiu know I wouldn't do this on purpose" he said, pain growing in his heart.

"This doesn't make since Leo." She paced and paced. "Weren't we saying we were through with the Elders. I thought we all agreed that we'd only deal with them during the times we had to." She looked at him. Besides him, Raine was theo nly other Elder that she knew personally. Raine howerver wasn't like the other Elders so it didn't matter.

"I didn't want this to happen Paige" he said as he turned to her. Pioer had been silent, and he didn't know if that was good or bad yet. Most likely bad. "Truthfully I hate them for what they put Piper and me through all these years. Remember when they wiped my memory and sent me to Texas? They tried to make me forget her forever, and my kids! No, I didn't want this to happen" he said, sitting down in the armchair. He didn't blame them for questioning him and being angry, he deserved it. But it didn't make it any less frustrating.

"You could have refused..." said Phoebe. She watched Paige pacing, which was making her a bit dizzy. She listened to what Leo had to say and thought it sounded a bit like an excuse. Sure he was like her brother, but she didn't like what he was saying alot of the time, and Phoebe was always one to complain on actions he took at times. "Paige is right...this doesn't make sense. How could they make you an elder again? It doesn't seem right...or fair to us."

"That's what I'm trying to explain. They didn't do it. Giving my life for that charge did it, automatically. Since it is the most selfless act, I was automatically made an Elder. I didn't choose this" he said as he looked at them. "And anyway, there is only one way I can see this as a good thing" he said as he looked at the three of them. "This could be of use to our advantage when we go up against the Evil Charmed Ones" he said, looking at them.

PAige looked at him. "This isn't about having an advangtage. You really think the other elder will cooperate? They'll block you out as much as possible. Raine is probably the only one who'll accept you as an Elder. The others...their manipulative. They'll use this to their advagntage somehow. They keep you away from us. They don't agree with you and Piper anyway. Oh and after Gideon's little stunt!" Paige said getting louder. When P{aige got angry it was serious. She was worse than Phoebe and Piper combined. She might've been worse than Prue. Wither way when she got started it was best to just let it get out of her system.

"Paige...." Leo said but he knew she had begun. She had just gotten started. "They will not take me away from you guys. Believe it or not, but Raine and I were both telling the other Elders the same things. Of course they don't agree with Piper and I, they never have. But I don't give a damn. I love Piper, and nothing can change that. And they certainly cannot take me away from here or what happed to Gideon and Zora will happen to every single one of them" he said, now with a burining passion to kill the other Elders in his head. The same one he had right before he killed Gideon. He calmed down a little and sat back down.

"I swear to God Leo if they try something I'll go up there myself and kick everyone of their robe wearing buts," Paige said as she stopped pacing. She sat on the couch and tried to control her breathing. She couldn't beliee what was going on. She was more stressed than ever.

"I will go with you. Don't you think I am scared that they are going to do something? Think about all that I have done in the past, I thought I would be dead by now" he said looking at her. "How many people fight in a war, become a Whitelighter, become and Elder, go back to being a regular Whitelighter, being a Mortal again, and now an Elder again?" he asked her, wondering how he had made it through it all.

Paige thought about it even though she didn't need to. "Not many I can tell you that. You're probably the only one." She put her hands in her head and looked at Piper who hadn't said anything yet. Paige didn't know what she was thinking. *Maybe she's in shock* Paige thought as she rubbed her sister's shoulder.

Piper felt her heart brake when he said he was an elder. The pain showed on her face. Leo knew what she was going though. He knew how much she needed him. "How can you do this to me?" She asked, feeling tears forming in her eyes. "How can you put me though this again?....... I can't keep losing you like this leo." A few tears fell
"Elders don't have families Leo, they don't live on earth....." She was upset, angry and getting very pissed off. "You asked me to marry you and I did. You wanted a family and I gave you two sons and a daughter..... remember them? And now you want me to watch you just walk away again!?"

Leo turned to Piper, relieved she finally spoke. Well maybe not. "Piper, I'm not leaving you" he said as he got up and walked pver to her. "Well this Elder does" he said, a little harsher than he wanted too. "Piper, I love you and I would do anything for you. I didn't want this to happen. If I had the chance I would have turned the charge away. Piper, you mean the world to me and I would never try to hurt you" he said, getting close to tears himself. It always hurt him when he knew her heart was breaking, because that meant so was his. "I am not going anywhere, I promise you that" he said, kneeling and holding her hands. "I couldn't do that again" he said, a single tear streaming down his face.

Phoebe felt all of the pain in the room and didn't like it at all, but held back her words knowing she shouldn't ask any of them to supress their emotions. Phoebe looked over at Paige with a helpless look before looking back at her sister and brother in law. She sighed heavily. Of all times...why now? Fate never did have timing to suit them.

Paige felt just as helpless as Phoebe felt and looked. She didn't know what to do. She knew Piper was hurt and Leo was hurt for making her hurt. Paige didn't think there was anything she could do but let Leo and Piper work it out themselves. Paige was always in people's business but this was one time she couldn't do that.

"How many times have you said you would always be there for me? How many times have you said you would leave me..... and you do!" Whether he meant leave her or not, it still hurt. "I can't keep doing this..... I can't keep going though the pain of losing you, Its not fair!" She sighed "I can't keep fighting just to be with you, thats all we ever seem to do........ and they always take you away from me...... I can't fight anymore." The elders never approved of her and Leo and piper had lost count of how many times they had tried to keep them apart, Piper just felt like giving up.
