Artemis had just got home from school, She could have just heart blinked there but she preffered to walk home in the fresh air. She went into her room and closed the door behind her. She rested against the door for a while, her heart broken. Today was the worst day of her life, just found out that her boyfriend had been cheating on her with her best friend. She walked over to her dressing table, it had the normal things that a girl had on her dressing table and it had photographs on the edges of the mirror. She looked at one sadly it was of her and nathan when they had first got together.  As a tear fell down her face she tore the picture in half, leaving the side that had her on, on the side. She glanced at the half that had nathan on it before screwing the picture up in a ball. Everything in this room reminded her of him or reminded her of her best friend Britney. Standing up she threw the screwed up picture against the door and watched as it landed on the floor, She couldn't help but cry. She crawled in her bed and pulled the cover over her head. She could help other people find love but when it came to her own love life, She sucked at it. She wanted her mommy. |

Phoebe walked passed the room of two of her daughters and her niece but stopped and turned back as she felt some serious emotions in there- immense sorrow. She had a feeling it was Artemis. She knocked on the door gently. "Hunny...you ok?" she asked, opening it though she hadn't gotten a reply, and saw Artemis well, the covers, but she could see her daughter's hair a bit and knew she was crying. "Aw hunny, what happened?" she asked, going over to the bed and sitting on it.

Arte sat up when she heard her mom. "Mommy...." She said sitting up and pulled the covers from over her head, Showing her tear stained face. She hugged Phoebe tight not wanting to let go of her. "I broke up with him mom..." Phoebe had got along with Arte's ex, she had actually liked him. "He was seeing Britney at the same time." She sobbed

Phoebe hugged her daughter back tightly as it pained her to see her daughter's tear-stained face. She heard Artemis saying that she broke up with him and was about to ask why -he had been a nice boy- but Artemis had then said that he was seeing Britney. She knew Britney- ine of Artemis's better friends. "Oh hunny I'm so sorry," she said, rubbing her daughter's back. Phoebe didn't know what it was like though. Phoebe had gotten into the wrong crowd and so normally Phoebe would have been in Britney's position...not Artemis's.

She rested her head against her mother, It hurt so much having her heart broken. And Britney had the nerve to use her words against her, Arte and Nathan wasn't serious, they were still young but that didn't mean that she hadn't cared. She jumped as her cell phone rang, picking it up she glanced at the name on the screen. It was Nathan, She didn't want to talk to him right now.

Phoebe had a feeling at Arte's emotions that Nathan was the one who was calling. She knew Arte was hurt but Phoebe also knew she should let her hide. "You can't avoid talking to him forever," she said quietly as Artemis started at the name on the screen.

"Watch me." She said as she pulled the cover her head again. So she was been childish but it hurt her so much and all she wanted to do was hide herself away from the world. It hurt her even more that it was with her best friend the one other person apart from her mom that she had told everything to.

"Artemis..." said Phoebe, pulled the cover away from her daughter's head. She knew her daughter had a right to hide but still. "So when a demon attacks you're just going to hide from him?" she teasted.

"No because I can vanquish the demon's sorry as..... butt." She quickly corrected herself when she remembered who she was actually taking to. "I can't vanquish Nathan or Britney even though at this moment in time it is very tempting." Arte would never use her magic to punish anyone except demons but that was different.

Phoebe opened her mouth to correct her daughter on her words but Artemis already corrected herself...not as if Phoebe didn't curse when she was younger. "No...you can't use magic to punish anyone except for demons," she said to her daughter. Sometimes Phoebe wished though that there was no personal gain...but that was, after all, what made them good.

"I know, no matter how tempting it is right?" SHe said with a smile. "The personal gain rule sucks." SHe threw herself back so that she was laid down on her very squashy pillow. "Why is it that I can get people together, and help solve problems between them but when it comes to my own relationships.... they fall apart."

"It sucks, I know," she said sighing. "I honestly can't answer than particular question..." she said sadly. She hoped this wouldn't continue with Artemis. Her daughter seemed to have inherited Piper's love life...Piper always had trouble. Honestly, Phoebe's only relationship which was exceptionally hard was Cole. "Piper could answer that one though..." she said with a small smile.

She sighed sadly and sat up again. "Love you mom." She said resting her head against her shoulder, She pulled a face as her phone rang again. Well her mom was right, she couldn't avoid him forever. She answered it. "What.."
"Arte, I'm sorry.... I really am. I never meant to hurt you."
"Well you did.."
"I know.... can you ever forgive me?"
"I'm sorry Nathan I can't do this anymore..... I need some time."
"Just know I'm sorry Arte."
"I know." She hung up the phone and glanced at her mom, that had been proberly the most awful conversation she had, had with him.

Phoebe looked at Artemis. It pained her to see her daughter like this, but all the same...it was suprising that you would chose to battle a demon over battling with your heart. "Are you going to be ok hunny?" she asked.

She nodded. "I'll be fine.... I mean its not going to be easy but, I'll be fine." She smiled but only weakly. "Love is transcendent. It’s miraculous...... I can't let heartbreak make me give up on it. I can't give up on love. Love is everything. It’s the only thing. It’s why I'm here.... Wow I've been watching too many romance films."
