Lucas strode silently through the dead, crunchy grass as the sun was thrown over the horizon causing a foggy darkness to shroud the earth. He stopped at a few random gravestones along the way- no one he ever knew. He hardly knew anyone, especially these days. He had lived a rough life, and it was starting to reflect in the way he acted. He was a very quiet type, and didn't get out much, he had to strive for everything that he had and work his butt off to get it.
He sighed lightly as he made his second round through the cemetery. He didn't know what to do anymore. Power's were showing up that he had control over, but sometimes when he felt extremes in emotions, he lost control and could seriously hurt people, or even kill, though he never had. He had been doing a lot of wiccan research lately, and discovered that he was a strange person. He wielded powers of that a demon, and a witch. He didn't know what he was, or how he became it, but he didn't understand.

Iris walked through the cemetary. She took a deep breath. She had never been here before since three years ago when her parents died- no, when she killed her parents. Her first stop to evil. They weren't even they real parents. They never abused her, but she did not have the best life. She had her hands in front her her, not even noticing she was wringing them nervously. Evil shouldn't be nervous at this kind of thing- but was she really evil? She had been good for most of her life- before she found out about her powers. She shook her head, brushing it aside and went up to her "parent's" graves.
Surveying the names she felt like breaking down right there and then. They may not have been the best parents, but they did take care of her her whole life. She didn't cry though. Hearing a noise behind her she turned around.

Lucas jumped at the sound of another person in the cemetery. He first thought was that it would be someone coming after him, trying to test or kill him because of his powers. And so his first reaction, a fireball. He opened his hand wide, and a fireball appeared, what looked like burning stick or embers or something twirled around the fireball, and he nervously took a step away from Iris.
Only upper level demons usually had the power of fireballs. Not knowing much about the craft, he still knew that from his little research. Hopefully she was magic too, otherwise his cover was blown. But something about her just stood out to him about being magic, and he hoped that this feeling he got was correct, because if it wasn't, he was in serious trouble.

Iris looked from the fireball in his hand, to the person who made it. He didn't look very much like a demon at the moment, except for the demonic powers. She supressed an amused smile. "Do I really look like I'm going to attack you?" she asked, pushing back some of her hair.

"I can never be too careful." His voice was strong, but sounded slightly shaken. He sighed lightly, as he wearily closed his hand over the fireball, causing it to disappear immediately. He did notice that she seemed somewhat surprised at his ability to conjure a fireball, he was too. He knew that he could also shimmer, which was also a demon power. And that he could create energy beams, which was a witch power. He was really confused lately... maybe she could help him out. But maybe not, he didn't just go trusting random people, especially these days.

"So you're a demon then?" she asked, knowing fireballs to be an upper-level power. Her electricity balls were also an upper-level power, but she wasn't sure about her other powers. She knew the Wind Manipulation power had killed a Halliwell once, another demon with that power. When she first got it a year ago she was a bit scared of it but gradually learned to control it. She can only make small winds though, she can't stop strong winds or make strong winds, and has minor control over them. The Seer, Kyra had told her that the Source expected great things from her but what great things? She had just exited her teen years! Withdrawing herself from her thoughts she focused instead on the person in from of her- mainly because her thoughts were a bit disturbing to her. He looked younger that her, but not much younger. She thought back to how his words were shaken. It sounded like her when she now discovered her powers. I just hope you don't get like me someday. In the dead middle of good and evil.

Lucas didn't really want to respond to her question, and so he hesitated, and it was obvious. He knew that two out of the three powers that he wielded were that of a demon, but he didn't want to accept that he was evil. He couldn't be, he didn't have a mean bone in his body. "Well, two out of three of my powers would suggest so." He didn't know what else to say other than that. He figured that she would ask him about his other power, what it was. But he would be ready for that one. The hardest thing to him was thinking that he was a demon, but maybe just because someone is a demon doesn't mean that they have to be evil. That hope stayed very much alive within his mind.

Iris was different from alot of people. She wasn't predictable, like some people she knew, nor unpredictable, like her sister, Axelia. Sometime she was readable, and you could know what she'd say next or know her next move. At other times it was as if there was a shield blocking you from seeing her emotions, or what would happen next. Then there were times you'd think she was about to do or say something but she wouldn't.
Shifting over to a half-dead looking tree, she pulled out a leaf from it that had managed to stay a healthy green color before letting it drift to the ground. Instead of inquiring about his third power -she'd let him decide whether he wanted to tell her that later or another time- she decided to say something else. "Just because your powers suggest you're meant for evil, it doesn't mean you have to be evil you know," she said softly, but loud enough for him to hear over the slight distance between them. "I made that mistake, i wasn't a bad person before and now it just ends up....hurting," she admitted bitterly.

Though she hadn't actually said it yet, Lucas could definately tell that she was a demon. Especially by the time that she said that she had made the mistake of thinking that by being a demon you must be evil, and it was a mistake. That was actually a huge relief to him. He was beginning to think that, and even if he didn't want to be evil now, he thought that it may turn him evil soon, and he didn't want to be evil, he did not want to hurt anyone with these powers he had received. Right now he was not sure if they were actually a gift, or a burden.
But what she said was actually pretty wise, and definately caught his attention. She was a demon, and she was slightly evil, and yet she was saying that even though he was a demon, he did not have to be evil. And that she had wished that she knew that when she was making her choice between the two. He didn't really have to make a choice, because the thought of being evil to him seemed completely morally wrong, and he could never see himself hurting anyone for his own pleasure, or for a job. He sighed lightly. "Thank You," he didn't know what else to say, that seemed to cover it, yet for some reason he didn't want their conversation to end yet either.

His simple thank you made Iris realise she had just helped someone. "You're welcome," she replied simply. She leaned back against the tree, having nothing else to do but think at the moment. She could tell there was relief from him after she had told him that. She realised something then. Every time she pondered the person in front of her she had referred to him as, well, him. She hadn't gotten his name yet- nor given hers. "I'm Iris, by the way," she said. She didn't say her last name because she had two- Winters was the one given to her her whole life, but her real name was Iris Moore. Things were getting so confusing now...

Lucas smiled lightly towards Iris. "Well it's nice to meet you Iris- I'm Lucas Hawthorne." He repied lightly. He wasn't quite sure what to do now. Iris had been of much help to him, obviously she had chosen one side- most likely evil- and she didn't necessarily want to be evil, but she had the impression that if you were a demon you had to be evil, and that is what he thought for a moment too, but luckily she had corrected him before he made a terrible mistake in his life, and chosen the side of evil.
He looked into Iris' eyes, thinking for a moment. "So you chose evil?" He asked this question very wearily because it didn't really seem like a question that you just ask someone casually. He didn't want to offend her in any way, and he hoped that he didn't, as he waited cautiously for an answer.

She nodded as he also introduced himself and was about to comment on it but but before she could she start he asked her something. A frown flittered across her face for a moment along with a look of sorrow in her eyes for a few seconds before they were both gone so quickly you'd doubt it was ever there. She looked away from him quickly, hoping he had missed it. "Yes, I chose it," she said, returning to the bitter tone.
She wasn't offended really, was she? No, she was just a bit surprised at the question. She wasn't ready for it. Deciding to add something she didn't want to admit even to herself she said, "But it's not exactly the best life."

Lucas nodded lightly. She did choose evil, he knew it. She didn't seem to be too mean though. His impression of someone evil would be that they were always evil, and didn't just take breaks and help people out in random cemetery's. She didn't seem to evil to him, but it wasn't really his place to interpose. He nodded once more at her comment on it not being the best life, he didn't think it would be either, that's why he was glad that he knew he wasn't going to turn evil.
He thought for a moment, then had an idea. He shimmered out, then appeared in a sitting position, directly across from her, a few yards away. "I'm not full demon you know." He said lightly, he didn't think that he had mentioned that yet.

Iris blinked when he disappeared and looked directly infront of her to see him in a sitting possition. She smiled. Because of the wind she could not do that so stealthily. "You are? Something we have in common- neither am I." She failed the mention her other half was also an evil magical being though, a firestarter. Most, if not all, firestarters turned out to be evil. She didn't even know if her parents were.
That was a lie. She tried to convince herself she didn't but in truth, she knew she did. After the vision Kyra gave her she knew everything. She wished she didn't. The sorrow flashed in her eyes again. That wasn't too unusual with her. You'd see flashes of her emotion in her eyes all the time. "So what's your next half," she asked no longer leaning on the tree but standing straight.

Lucas smiled as she shared that she wasn't all demon either, though she did not mention that her other half was also either. His other half on the other hand could go either way. It was not set in stone, it was their choice. Though mostly he thought they leaned towards the good side of things. He smiled lightly when she asked him what his other side was, and then as she stood straight up. "My other side is Witch. My Witch power is energy beams."
He smiled lightly once more, but then it faded as he tried to concentrate to make one. This power was easily his most complicated. He figured that only very powerful witches got this power, and so it was amazing to him that he got it. He had to absorb energy from around him to create a beam, but whether you know it or not, there is always some source of energy around. He knew that he shouldn't make a strong beam, so he kept it small. He began twiddling his fingers, which created Kinetic Energy. He held up his other hand, and a small beam of light shot from his hand, and burned a small hole in a nearby tree.
