The board takes place in Jamie and Landon's senior years at Beaufort High. Landon and Jamie still get mocked and slandered by what Landon used to call "friends". However, along the way, Jamie and Landon form bonds with new friends, and even some teachers. Landon and Jamie's love grows as they become strong with the fact that they don't have much time left together... or do they?
