The Charmed Ones are living their lives as normal as they can be, raising children and kicking evil's ass all in the same day. That's how things go for them. But when a new ancient and foreign evil arises in the Underworld, the Charmed Ones have a new assignment from the Elders--to protect the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. At first the Charmed Ones think they need to seek out 12 very special animals and protect them, but it is not that easy.
The 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac are none other than 12 members of a very old Japanese family that have moved to America, and have been cursed with their vengeful spirits and their secret powers. Although they resent to having protection, the Sohma Family finds new friends within the Halliwells and their children, and helps them take on the demonic troubles they face every day, while the Halliwells begin to find out about the Sohma Curse and their own troubles.
