Plot:
In ancient Greece there were the Titans; powerful gods that controlled the earth and all of its elements. The humans were oppressed while the Titans enjoyed their "golden age" all too well. This was almost too much for the human race as their oppression lead to world-wide hunger, poverty, and constant humiliation as their race began to die off, which would ultimately give the nymphs, gorgons, sirens, ect... free to roam and live on the earth without human interference. The king of the Titans was Cronus, and he was the brutal force that drove the humans to their doom. He was power-hungry and selfish, even towards his own family, whom were in constant bondage of his cruelty.
Cronus had sired three sons: Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. All of whom were born with awesome powers. Afraid that they would someday overthrow him, because of sheer size of the power they possessed, he took away their powers and locked them away in a magical vase that was made by powerful beings. Cronus, likewise, did this to other Titan's children that seemed to possess too much power for his liking. In the process of taking their powers, they were like mortals and started to help a group of rebellious humans that called themselves the Destined. They claimed that they received powers after a long quest to the waters of the Naiads, where the Naiads blessed them with the strange powers. Zeus, his brothers, and the rest of the 'used-to-be' gods decided to use the Destined in order to get their powers back.
In the process of working together, the brothers received their famous weapons. Zeus: the thunderbolt, Poseidon: the trident, and Hades: the helmet of invisibility and the two-pronged fork. After the struggle, Zeus opened the vase and their powers were once again restored. After drawing lots for power, Zeus became the king of the gods and ruled from then on. The Destined became wary as the people worshiped and the gods ruled. Unknowingly, Zeus started to become like his father: power hungry and stuck-up. After several months of plotting, the Destined trapped the gods in the very vase that held their powers captive.
Many centuries later, the vase stood in a dusty corner of the Cairo museum. It was mysteriously stolen and broken by someone who wanted to bring back the gods in their old glory. But instead of the gods coming back, their powers selected a few individuals. These people obtained the god's powers as well as their memories. Now, the powers are not that great, but will increase with time and experience. The ancient Destined passed on their powers through each generation up till today's time frame. Confused, by their sudden inheritance of power, the Destined strive to find others like them and to gain control in their newly found powers. Those that have powers, Destined and Gods alike, are now struggling between their newly found beings and surviving high school.
