Chris plumped down with a thud into one of the rocking armchairs in the living room of his house. He knew that he had to tell his parents about his new 'job' but he just didn't know how to tell them. He didn't think that they would be angry, but you never knew with the many moods of his parents. His dad worked at the school, and his mom knew loads about it and even lived there for a while when she was pregnant with him, so he really didn't think that it would be a big deal, but he knew that he needed to tell them before they found out on their own, which may not take too long since he had told Paige already. He sighed lightly as he reversed his telepathy power to call for them. He sat with his eyes closed as he waited for them to arrive.

Piper had just got home from the club, some things needed repairs so Piper had gone to make sure that they were actually getting fixed and to see if they were doing the job she was paying them to do. She pushed her hair back as she closed the door behind her. Life had been quiet which made Piper slightly worried, she wasn't used to going this long with their been a demon trying to kill them but she wasn't complaining. Piper wanted a normal life or have some part of her life that magic couldn't interfere with.
She could hear Chris calling her though his telepathy, came in handy but still had a habit of making her jump when she wasn't expecting it. 'Please don't say this has something to do with demons.' She thought to herself... that son of hers managed to get himself in more trouble than anyone else. "I was beginning to think that you were avoiding me." She said with a smile as she went into the living room.

Leo was finishing up with one of his charges, when he heard Chris calling him. What now? he thought to himself as he apologized to Marie for having to leave her a little bit early. "I'm sorry but I have to go. Call me if there is any more trouble" he said as he orbed into the Living Room. When he got there, he saw Chris and Piper there. This can't be good, he said to himself. "Alright, what happened now?" he asked, taking a seat next to Piper. He looked at Chris, who seemed to be relazed, although he could sense a little bit of nervousness.

Chris sighed lightly when his mother entered the room. Avoiding her? Hardly. He had been so busy at the school that he didn't have much time at home, it was true, he was becoming more and more like his Aunt Paige every day. "No mom, I'm not avoiding you. I'm sorry." He said lightly, but said nothing more until Leo got there. He sighed again as it was now time for the truth to come out. His eyes widened and temper flared somewhat when his father asked what happened this time. He rolled his eyes, looking away from both of them. "Why does something always have to be wrong for me to call to you guys?" He knew that he didn't always talk to his parents as much as they would like, but still, he hated that they had to think that something was wrong every time that he did try to talk to them.

"Leo... hear him out." Piper said knowing what ever was going on was important. SH edidn't see her son as often as she liked but she liked to know what was going on and she like to know that he was okay. "Hunny we just worry about you." She smiled weakly and natually Piper just thought of the worst first.

"Sorry, it's just like your mother said. You and your brother and sister are almost never around, so we assume the worst" he said as he smiled at his wife and Chris. "What do you need to tell us then?" he asked, of course curious. At least he was spending time with Chris, even if it was for when they talked. He looked at Chris, trying to sense anything else. Then a thought came to him, making him worry a little about what was going to be told to him.

Chris could feel that his dad was trying to sense what he was trying to tell them, so he put up the best mental block that he could. His dad really needed to trust him more and wait it out just like normal parents would. "Dad, please. Stop trying to read my mind." He just glared at his father, wondering what Piper would say since she didn't know that he was trying to read his mind. "This is why I don't like telling you guys things." His gaze turned into more of a glare towards his dad now. Before he had come back to fix his life, he hated his dad with all his heart for leaving him to become a damn elder, but they were on slightly better terms now.

"Sorry" Leo said as he looked away. 'It was worth a shot' he said to himself. "Well then what do you have to tell us? Are we waiting for anyone else to get here?" he asked, looking around. It was starting to bother him that Chris was trying very hard to keep something from them. But he obviously wanted them to know, so he wished that he would just tell him and Piper.

"Leo!" She snapped at her her husband when Chris said that he was trying to read his mind. She was strict when it came to invading someone's privacy like that. She believed that her children should have some kind of normal life. Which meant that they didn't have to tell them everything. She didn't think it was right using powers or magic to find out what they were hiding, She trusted that if there was something for them to really worry about then they would tell them. Piper knew that if did use magic to interfere with them then it would push them further away and piper liked to think that her sons and daughter could come to her and talk to her about anything.
"Leo let him tell us in his own time, You know i don't like you trying to read their minds" She turned to her youngest son. "Go on Chris."

Leo turned to Piper. "Sorry" he said as he looked down, then back at Chris. It was bothering him more and more that Chris hadn't told them yet. He sat quietly while waiting for his son to tell them whatever it was that was bothering him. He heard the jingle from the Elders, but pushed it out of his mind. This was more important than anything they could ask of him right now.

Though Chris didn't outwardly show it, he was pretty happy that Piper reacted the way that she did. It was just what he was expecting, and hoping for. He knew that his mom hated it when Leo tryed to tap into their thought stream to find out what they were thinking, so he thought it would be better to say out loud that he was doing it, so that his mom would take care of it.
He sighed lightly as he realized that he couldn't put it off any longer. He knew that it wasn't even really a big deal, and he made it much bigger than it actually was, but he just felt wierd telling them, and didn't really want to. "Well, Mom... Dad..." He paused and looked at each as he said their names. "I... have taken a job at Magic School."

Leo sighed as he heard what Leo had to say. "A job at Magic School? What kind of job?" he asked as he looked at Piper with a surprised look on his face. It wasn't everyday you heard someone say that. He was just glad that his son was okay and nothing too terrible was going on. "I'm just glad you are alright" he asked as he gave Chris a soft smile. But what kind of job was curiously eating at him.

Magic school, the last place Piper wanted to hear. She already had one sister there all the time. She wasn't happy but what could she say, Chris would be helping people and if he liked it then how could she object to it. Piper just had to accept that he wasn't her little boy anymore, but it was hard to her he would always be her little boy. She smiled, knowing that chris wouldn't read her thoughts the last time he did that Piper hit the roof and Leo well she blew him up last time. She choose to remain quiet to see what kind of job he had taken.

Chris was happy that his father was taking it so well, but he knew that he would. What he was worried about was his mom, she already had troubles with magic school because she seemed to have lost one sister to it. So he spent most of his time focusing on what her reaction was. He could tell that she didn't like the idea, because she didn't immediately react to it, and his mom was always one to wear her emotions on her sleeve. So when it took her a while before she smiled, he knew that she wasn't too fond of the idea. She didn't want to lose someone else to the school.
He sighed lightly, deciding that he better answer his dads question. "Well I am taking over a class. It's just temporary while the teacher is on an extended vacation, but it may become more than that depending on how I do."

Piper stood up, glancing at the photo's on the shelf. She felt like she was losing everyone in this family, and it was killing her. Wyatt was always helping a charge out, Melinda was never at the house anymore, prefered to spend time with her friends having a normal life as possible. Even though Chris spent less and less time at home he always made sure that she knew he was safe. She didn't want to lose someone else to magic school, so as you can guess was wasn't happy when he mentioned working at magic school even if it was only temporary. She turned round to Chris and Leo, "I can't say that I'm happy that your going to be working at magic school because I'm not...." She paused "But.... I can't stop you and I wouldn't stop you from doing something that you want to do. Just make sure you come home more often okay..." She said weakly. Trying her best to hold back her emotions.
