Rowan stood in the attic of the Halliwell Manor. Rowan had almost strangled a demon to death and the people he trusted as friends were there to see him. Rowan needed guidance and only one person could guide him. And Rowan knew he needed to summon him. Rowan flipped through the pages of the Book of Shadows as he looked for a certain spell. He finally found the spell.
Everything was set up for it. All he needed to do was recite the spell. "Hear these words, hear my cry, Spirit from the other side. Come to me, I summon thee. Cross now the great divide." Rowan chanted. White lights appeared as the spirit of his grandfather, Black Eagle appeared.

Piper stood at the door way of the attic, as she watched him it reminded her of after prue died and she had desperatly tried to bring her back and when that didn't work she tried to contact her. She shook the memory from her head. It was too painful for her, even now. Piper had to take on alot more responisbility that day... responisbilty that Piper thought she couldn't handle. She watched sliently not wanting to distract or disturb him.

Black Eagle looked around the attic and then his eyes laid upon his nineteen-year-old grandson. A false smile appeared upon his face. "Rowan, what's going on?" Black Eagle spoke in Mohawk. "Cut the innocent crap and lets get to the point." Rowan spoke. Black Eagle furrowed his brow at Rowan and coughed. "What's wrong?" Black Eagle asked in Mohawk.
Rowan sighed. "Do you mind telling me how my father died?" Rowan asked, setting his grandfather up for a trap.

Paige followed Piper upstairs to get the Book of Shadows but stopped at the door. "What are you..." Paige started to ask but then noticed Rowan speaking to a spirit. Just like Piper, this reminded Paige of summoning a spirit. Only it wasn't Prue she was thinking of, it was her real mother Patty. She remembered meeting her for the first time, along with meeting her grandmother Penny for the first time. Paige snapped out of her memories and silently watched the events unfold.

Black Eagle sighed. "You're father died before you were born." Black Eagle continued in Mohawk. Rowan shook his head and laughed maniacally before becoming serious again. "Liar." Rowan said. Black Eagle look surprised. "But Rowan...." Black Eagle spoke, before he was interrupted.
Rowan shushed him. "I want you to tell me the truth and I want it now." Rowan ordered. Black Eagle looked alittle upset. "Searching Sky, don't you take that tone with me." Black Eagle barked in Mohawk. Searching Sky was the English naming of his Mohawk birthname. Back on the reservation in Albany, Rowan was known as Karonhisake of the Kanienkehaka nation, son of Kateri (or Katherine Angelark), daughter of the Shaman Black Eagle.
But here in San Francisco, the Mohawk/African American Witch/Whitelighter hybrid was known as Rowan Angelark. "Don't you order me!" Rowan exclaimed, slipping into Mohawk. Black Eagle grew even more angry. "Now tell me what happened and in plain English, Grandfather." Rowan said, now speaking in English. Black Eagle sighed before speaking. "When you were just three months old, a demon wanted to kill you and your mother." Black Eagle explained, in English.
"And?" Rowan asked, angry. Black Eagle took a breath. "And you're father was murdered while protecting you and your mother." Black Eagle told Rowan. Rowan's anger slowly started to fade away. Tears developed in his eyes. "And why didn't anyone tell me before?" Rowan asked.
Black Eagle shook his head. "You weren't ready to know the truth." Black Eagle said. Rowan turned away. "You should've told me anyway." Rowan said. He looked up to see Paige and Piper. "I'm Sorry, Searching Sky." Black Eagle apologized.
Rowan looked back to Black Eagle, tears streaming down his face. "You wish you were." Rowan said, before sitting on the floor, placing his head in his hands. He quietly sobbed before looking up to his Mohawk Grandfather. "You kept this a secret from me, you bastard." Rowan said. "And I had to find out the hard way." Rowan sobbed. Black Eagle frowned at Rowan's tears.

Paige gasped in shock to hear the news. At first since they had been speaking in another language Paige hadn't understood anything but the fact that they were arguing. Once they slipped into English Paige understood every word.
When Rowan broke into tears Paige rushed over. She'd always thought of Rowan as an adoptive son. "Its okay Rowan. Everything will be fine I promise." She held him close and rocked back and forth trying to calm him down.

Rowan felt Paige's warm, welcoming arms wrap around him. She held him close and Rowan hugged himself tight to her. The ninteen-year-old hugged himself to her like if she was his mother. He listened to her comforting words and placed his head upon her shoulder, crying. Rowan rocked with Paige back and forth as he cried. He really needed to get stress out.
Black Eagle watched the two hybrids together. Even he was a spirit, Black Eagle felt sad and upset with himself. "I'm truly sorry, Searching Sky." Black Eagle spoke. Rowan ignored his grandfather and stayed close to Paige as they continued to rock back and forth.

Paige looked up at Rowan's grandfather. "Maybe it'd be best if you left. We should probably break the circle so we can send you back. When he's pulled himself together and ready to see you again I'll make sure he summons you."
Paige realized it was probably best for him to go away until Rowan was more stable. She hted to see Rowan like this since they had become so close. She understood what it was like to find out that something you had believed your whole life was nothing but a lie.

Black Eagle nodded. "Maybe you are right." Black Eagle agreed with Paige. Rowan's hand pointed to one of the crystals and a blue beam shined from his hand as the crystal flew into his hand. The circle was broken and Black Eagle returned to the Spirit Realm. Rowan placed the crystal next to him and Paige and pushed it away. Rowan was never talking to his grandfather again.

"Rowan I know you're upset but everything is going to be okay. Time heals everything and eventually you'll be able to move on. Trust me becuase I did it." She looked at him for a few minutes and said,"Think of it this way, at least now you know the truth. That's better than nothing."

Rowan agreed with what Paige was saying but he stayed quiet. He didn't want to talk. He just wanted to be quiet for a while.

Paige realized he wasn't going to talk so she just stayed silent. She looked towards the door and saw Piper just silently watching the scene. She turned back to Rowan and said,"If you want you can go into my room and relax for awhile. However, its totally up to you."

Piper felt for what Rowan was going thoughm being lied to your whole life. People keeping secrets from you... it wasn't right. It was something that no one should have to go though. And finding out the truth out himself the hard way well Piper could only imagine what he was going though. Piper had already blown up the demon that had killed his father, part of her was thinking that she should have left him to do it but that would have made things 10 times worse for him and She didn't want to put him though anymore pain. "Times the best healer..... sometimes it may seem hard but over time it does get easier and you can move on."
"It does get easier... I promise you." She said with a weak smile.

Rowan had listened to Paige's words before he looked to Piper and listened to her words of wisdom. Rowan returned Piper's weak smile before looking back to Paige. "I'm gonna hang out in your room for a while." Rowan said to Paige, before orbing out of her arms.
