Light blue orbs swarmed in circles in an empty spot in the Underworld. Once gone, Piper and Chris appeared where the orbs were. Chris quickly glanced around, to make sure that there was no one around, and then turned his gaze to his mother. They were on yet another demon hunt. They came without a potion, so hopefully this one would be easy to vanquish. The book gave a potion, but Chris coincidentally forgot to tell his mother about that, he thought that they could take the demon without the potion, they both had Charmed blood in them afterall, so what was the big deal?
"You ready for this?" His asked his mom lightly. They had both been part of many vanquishes, but not usually together, or just the two of them, so this was something fairly new to them. Usually Chris just sent his mom and aunts out on the vanquishes, or took care of them himself. But this time he thought that it needed more than one person, and his aunts weren't around at the time.

Piper felt that wave of dizziness again. Why did she keep experiencing that? And earlier she had blacked out...and gotten into an argument with Paige right after. Something was wrong and she knew it. she struggled to be herself though after that and at the moment it worked. "Go easy on the orbing will you?" she commented, not answering his question. She looked around at the Underworld. For some reason it didn't seen as...horrible and evil as it normally did. "So what demon did you say it was now?"

Chris sighed lightly as his mother seemed to avoid his question. She had been acting very strange lately, and they all knew what was going on with her, thanks to Kyra. But he knew that he should not take any action into correcting it alone, because it could turn out bad. He began walking around a corner, as he told his mother, again. "The demon is called Gelau, according to the book it has the power to drain powers, like a leech, but after the wall of powers is gone, then it can begin draining life. Once Gelau has drained a power, then it has that power. If Gelau drains a life, then it can take on the form of that person, so it can have many forms, both male and female." He knew this one could be pretty tricky, but it was worth a shot, hopefully they didn't get a power drained, or worse, their lives.

"And why didn't we bring Paige or Phoebe along for this?" asked Piper, stopping in her tracks. She knew she and her sisters had grown more powerful over the years but did Chris honestly think this demon could be vanquished with one Charmed One? "What if we need the power of three?" she asked.

Chris sighed lightly and stopped a ways up from his mother, waiting for her to catch up with him. "Well we are just going to have to rely on the power of two this time. It has worked before, it can work again." The more that he thought about it the more he thought that making and bringing that potion the book suggested would have been a good idea, but he just didn't feel like they needed it, but his mind was changing now. Piper's unfaithfulness was getting to him.

Piper caught up with him, feeling her temper rising again. Did he seriously think they could handle it by themselves? "Chris," she said in an argumentative tone. "Think before you act next time, ok?" suggested Piper hotly. She was acting less and less like herself, and she hated it but for some reason she didn't want to stop it.

Chris nodded half-heartily. He knew something was wrong with Piper, and so he wasn't really going to take her comments and tones to heart. "Remember, Gelau absorbs through the eyes. Don't make eye contact with it and you should be fine." Basically that was all the book said about him, so they didn't know too much, just hopefully that they wouldn't make eye contact, and they could get out of there with all their powers still intact.

"So how do we know where to locate this thing?" asked Piper, pushing back her hair with one finger. Her hair always came onto her face- the same thing always happened with Paige. "Because if the Gelau can tell when we're coming or knows and gives us a surprise attack, that could be trouble..."

Chris chuckled silently at this comment. He lowered his tone to a whisper now, since they were getting closer to where he believed that Gelau would be residing. "Well, if I'm correct, then I believe it's about his feeding time now, so he won't know that we are coming, and so he won't have a trap ready for us. As for locating him, he should be..." As those last words reverberated around the tunnel walls, a scream emitted from a cavern about 50 yards ahead of them. "Right there."

Piper looked over to where the scream came from. "It...screams? What kind of demon is this anyway?" she asked before walking a bit quicker, but making sure to stay quiet. "Unless that was one of it's victims," she said, lowering her voice even more now.

Chris nodded at her second comment. "That would be my guess. Like I said, I think that it is Gelau's feeding time, so that could easily be a victim." He kept walking quickly so that they could get there as fast as they could, and possibly save the person that he was on now. "My guess is that Gelau has many many powers, since it absorbs them all, and only once was anyone able to get them out of it. So be careful." He eyed his mom carefully, knowing that she probably wasn't even listening.
