(Only Halliwells and their family in this thread.  ) Piper sat on a couch in the Living Room, feeling as if her insides were tearing up at her. Almost literally. She put her head in her hands. Her appearance was a bit alarming- she looked pale, and Piper was almost never pale. Demons. They were the cause of all her troubles. She hated them- not that hate was a strong enough word. Axelia had stabbed her- though she was healed by Leo, she had felt strange after that. Piper of course didn't know the Atheme was cursed, but she would find out soon enough. But at the moment that definitely wasn't why she hated them. Her old friend Kyra, who was vanquished by Zankou a long time ago showed her face again. If that wasn't off-catching enough, after some threatening she admitted to Piper what was going on in the Underworld. Just thinking about it Piper felt pained. Zankou was back...along with Cole and the Source. It seemed to horrible to comprehend. But Artemis was also there, and she clarified it. Piper didn't want to believe it though.....all three demons had caused hell in the Halliwells' lives last time, and they would this time. "Why did magic have to be so screwed up?" she asked to no one in particular, but her voice sounded muffled as her head was in her hands. |

Chris quietly crept down the stairs, one by one, not making any more noise then a normal amount of wind would. He had heard someone down there, and though it was probably just one of their many family members, you could never be to careful around the Halliwell Manor, anything could happen. When he was about to walk past the chunk of wall hiding him from view of anyone downstairs he heard his mothers voice. He could tell that she seemed to be very pained, and stressed. Her tone of voice showed it, and more than anything, her words.
He knew that his mother had her fair share of struggles with magic. It had not always treated her the best. Constantly being attacked by demons, losing her sister, losing her husband, getting him back, breaking the sacred line of only girls in the Halliwell family. She had been through so much, but always pulled through it, and he had every bit of confidence that she would be able to this time as well.
He crept the rest of the way down the stairs, and headed towards the coach where his mother sat. He sat his hand lightly on her shoulder. "Mom, whatever it is, we can make it through it, together."

Piper looked up at the voice and saw Chris. She gave him a weak smile. "Normally, we do but this time i'm afraid we won't..." she admitted softly. What had she done to deserve this? She was a good witch, a good wife and a good mother, and she along with her sisters, children and whole family were being punished for it? What else was need of her?
The Hallliwells had been through alot before, but it was always one Demon attacking after the other, not all at the same time. It was just, something she wasn't used to. Something she didn't want to get used to. She didn't know how to tell them, let them know that three Sources of Evil that almost destroyed their lives before were back. She was glad her children were all grown up at least, that they would understand. "We have some....serious trouble coming up soon."

Chris was slightly surprised at all the doubt that his mother was showing. She had amazing strength and power, but she had always been slightly low in the self-confidence factor. But still he had hardly ever seen her this low before. Saying flat out that they could not win? That was not right, they can get through anything together, they just have to believe it. If they don't believe they can do it, then it will be near impossible to succeed. Believing is the first step in achieving.
"Mom, we face serious trouble all the time. Yes, I believe that it is probably really bad, but that doesn't mean that we can't do it. We have each killed more demon's than probably the entire magical community put together. But it takes teamwork, effort, and faith."

Artemis walked into the manor practicly slamming the front door behind her. "Why? Why me, Chase, and Melinda? Why this family? she thought leaning against the front door. Everything had been so screwed up lately. She was tired of lying to the whole family. She had lied to Piper about why she had the Book of Shadows on the Cole/Belthazor page. All Arte wanted to do was fix the mistake without her parents or aunts finding out what they'd done, now Piper knew. And she proboably already told her mother and Aunt Paige.
Arte started to walk towards the living after hearing voices. She saw Chris and Piper, who looked horrible. She had never seen her aunt like this. "Great, now look what you've done. You caused your aunt to stress so much she's sick." she thought not knowing Axelia had stabbed her. Artemis sat down in a chair across from the couch not saying a word.

Leo jumped up out of bed when he heard a loud bang. What was that? Why are people up at this hour? he thought to himself as he headed to the door. Although he had green pajama pants and a white shirt on, he crept to the door anyway. he didn't want to orb, just in case it was a demon. He was coming down the large stairs and he could hear voices. One sounded like Piper, the other Chris. He was a little relived because they didn't sound worried or in that dangerously high tone the sisters get when they're mad. When he rounded the corner, he saw Arte, Chris, and Piper sitting down there. But something was strange about Piper. He had never seen her this pale before. Well that's not true, he thought to himself. She looked pretty bad when she was pregnant with the kids, he said as he chuckled to himself. "Piper? Are you ok honey?" he asked, taking the seat on the other side of her, opposite of Chris.

"And I would rather face those other Demons all at once rather than these," said Piper in reply to Chris, shaking her head slightly. "And a pep-talk isn't going to help us with this, because it's no use." Piper looked up when she heard a bang, and saw Artemis sit across from her, but she didn't say anything. That was another thing, Artemis was there, in Cole's Chamber, invisible when she found out. What was Artemis doing there, how did she know about the demons being back and why was she looking so guilty right then? Piper wanted to ask her about all the things but didn't know if she'd find out anything even more horrible.
Hearing a chuckle from the door she saw Leo there. What could seem funny right about now? When he sat down next her and asked her if she was ok all she did was put her head back in her hands. "Does it look like i'm ok?" she asked, her voice coming out a little harsh even though she didn't mean for it to.

"No, but I'm just trying to help" he said as he noticed her eyeing Arte. he ignored it for right now and turned his attention back to Piper. "Piper, what's wrong? I know this is not you" he said as he looked at her, concern flowing through him. he didn't know what could possibly be wrong with her.

"I'm sorry." Arte said out of know where. She looked up at Chris, Piper, and Leo. "We should have just told you what was going on, instead of lying about it." Right now she was feeling guilty. Out of her, Chase, and Melinda, she was the oldest. "I should've known how to get us out."

Leo looked at Artemis. "You mean you have something to do with this? Please, tell me what's going on. It's very important that you do" he said with his expression got from smiley to serious. The plan, that the Elder's were talking about must be even more advanced than he thought. He needed to find out what was going on and fast.

(I don't think Leo found out about it yet, since Piper didn't tell him.  ) "Arte what do you mean?" asked Piper, looking up at her. "Gotten you out of what?" Piper knew about the Demons being back but she didn't yet question Artemis on how she knew. |

Leo was really confused now. It was clear that Piper knew what was going on. It scared him to think that this might be what's making Piper sick. "Piper.....Artemis.....what's going on?" Leo said as he looked back and forth between the two. Something wasn't right.

Artemis couldn't believe her aunt hadn't figured it out yet, nor told anyone that she had found her in Cole's Chamber. "They're back because of me, Melinda, and Chase."

Piper barely even heard Leo. Shock vibrated through her insides at hearing those words. It made sense....but how? "Artemis..." she said, the mixture of emotions showing in her voice and her eyes. "What?"

Leo's head snapped up to look at Artemis when he heard Melinda's name. "What is going on? The both of you better start explaining yourselves. Our daughter had something to do with this, but I want to know what this is. Now who's going to tell me?" he asked as he looked at Piper, hoping she would tell him.
