Piper blinked away her tears- or tried to. "Melinda sweetie, try and rest...don't strain yourself," said Piper. She smiled sadly when Melinda said her pride was wounded. Same old Melinda. But then Piper knew Leo was hurting when she said she was calling for him. He would blame himself....she had a strong feeling. She put her hand ontop of Leo's. "It wasn't your fault."

Leo wiped away some tears and held his hands over Melida's side and healed her. This was the best he could do for her. "Your mother's right. You need to rest" he said as he looked at Piper. "I know, but I still feel like I could have. But me and my stupid charges" he said as the tears reappeared. He didn't want Melinda to hear that he was blaming himself. She would just say that there was nothing he could have done to stop the demon.

"No can't rest I want to kick his sorry butt." She tried to sit up but couldn't her father might have healed her but she would still be sore for several days. "Not your fault dad... my powers picked the wrong time to screw up." She wasn't going to tell them it was her demonic ex boyfriemd that did this to her.

"Since when do your powers screw up?" he asked as he looked at her. He knew she was hiding another little thing from them. He turned to Piper. "What was that boys name that she dated?" he asked, trying to remember. he had a feeling that he had something to do with this.

"I can't orb when I want, I can only conjure things when get mad. The one i can control is my temporal ice stasis and even then that doesn't last long." She glanced at her mum hoping that she wouldn't guess that it was Ryan that almost killed her.

Piper frowned as she listened to Melinda. "Weren't your worried that day, about that boyfriend of yours?" she asked, remembering when Melinda was making the potion- right before Axelia had flamed in. "Ryan...if it was him I am so going to vanquish his sorry ass!"

"Ex boyfriend... and i finished him." She added. She shook her head when her mother asked if it was him. Even though he had nearly killed her on several occasions and actually had killed her on one, She still had some feelings for him. You can't just turn feelings off but she wished she could. She knew her mother would see right though her lie though.

Leo was listening for the name. Ryan, that was it. he remembered that he was a demon. "Melinda, please tell us the truth. I know you might have feelings for him still, but if he did this....he has to be stopped" Leo said as he watched his daughter's reaction. He had a feeling Mr.Ryan had some explaining to do.

Melinda sat up slowly, proping the pillow behind her so she could lean against it. "Ow Ow." She hated that they could see right though her. "We got into a argument and he yelled..." A tear fell down her face. "Energy balls were thrown as well as athemes. He won't leave me alone, he won't accept that i don't want anything else to do with him." She sobbed.

Piper narrowed her eyes. She would scry for him later, and as he was Melinda's ex it wouldn't be too hard to find something of his. "We'll see about that."

Leo went over to the other side of the bed. "It's ok honey. We'll protect you from him. This time if he attacks again, I won't miss your call and we will get you to safety and your mom and aunts will wanquish him" he said with a small smile and kissed her head.

Piper softened as she heard Melinda say that. She smiled sadly and sad on the bed and took Melidna's hand as she would when Melinda was little. "Well you're my daughter and anyone who dares to hurt you is going to have hell to pay from me," she promised, kissing Melinda's hand and hugging her.

She rested her head against her mother as she sobbed, She was no stranger to heart break but it still hurt. "Why does this have to happen to me? What did I do to deserve this?"
