Alright everyone, aren't you all just brooding with excitement for our first competition? I know I am, lol. So myself and the other admin's decided that it would be a great way to get people more active, and get the morale of the site back up, so we now will have spontaneous competitions. There can be more than one at a time, though that probably won't happen too often, and they can last anywhere from a few days, to a few weeks. And they can be many different types of competitions.
The first one that we will be starting out with though, is a thread competition. The rules are simple, and I believe that it will be very fun for everyone. These competitions will have time limits, and all the one's started by me will be running on Pacific Standard time, since I live on the West Coast. It will start today, June 12th, and end two weeks from today, Tuesday, June 26th at 8:00 PM Pacific Standard time.
So for this competition all you have to do is make a thread. A thread that is started, and ended with the above time period. There is no limit to the people allowed to be in the thread, but remember, when there are too many people, it can become confusing. A person is also allowed to be in more than one thread that is competing, but they can only start one thread.
All the regular rules of the board must be abided in the competition as well. But most importantly, have fun with it. These competitions are meant to be fun.
The winning thread will have each person in it gain ten Karma points, and another prize decided on once the winning thread has been picked.
To enter the competition all you have to do is post in this thread with the name of your thread, and the people that will be involved in it. Just come up with any great idea and PM the characters you want to post. If at any time you realize that your thread cannot be completed in the time limits, PM myself or one of the other admin's, and just simply tell us that you sadly have to drop it. All threads that are not finished by 8:00 PM Pacific Standard time on June 26th will automatically be disqualified.
